Bizarre EA Sports FC 27 bug is putting players in bikinis

| Games News Reporter Published September 21, 2026 5:30pm Updated September 21, 2026 5:30pm EA Sports FC 27 is currently in early access so bugs are to be expected (Reddit) Fans of EA Sports FC 27 are joking that the game is trying to compete with GTA 6 after encountering instances of women randomly appearing in bikinis. Although it doesn’t publicly launch until this Friday, those who have pre-ordered EA Sports FC 27 have already begun playing, thanks to its early access launch. The game is unsurprisingly not bug free, which is typically the case with yearly sports games, but it will hopefully have most of them ironed out with a patch to coincide with the full launch. One bug, however, has already caught fan’s imaginations, because it involves players being stripped down to nothing but a bikini. The earliest example we can find of this is from September 18 – the day early access began – where MereDaaruChadhGi on Reddit shared a clip of their team in the dressing room. It’s hard to make out, since all the characters are stood at the back of the room, so we recommend playing the clip in full screen, but there is most definitely a woman among the players wearing a black bra and knickers. Adding to the weirdness is that it’s not a team of female players; they’re all men except for this one random lady, so where did she come from? No one in the comments can offer a reasonable explanation as most of them are just jokes about this being a sign that EA’s trying to compete with GTA 6, which is known to feature strip clubs and, according to a leak, full-frontal nudity. Galactiva_Phantom hazards a guess that the woman is the team manager, saying, ‘If a shirt/attire is not properly loaded onto live server, the person will end up being in their undies as their attire cannot be loaded. Happened every year, but mostly on the pre-release test builds [sic].’ This bug doesn’t appear to interfere with gameplay, but at least two other players on Reddit have shared evidence of experiencing it for themselves. Exact-Treat4404 posted a screenshot of their team celebrating and you can see a scantily clad woman amongst them. Alternative_Smile866 also spotted someone in a bikini when they paused the game, although they couldn’t tell if this person was even one of their team members. ‘Every year FC becomes similar to GTA in something, 2030 FC is probably going to be with a strip club,’ jokes Sad-Ratio2845. Others have chimed in with comments about how this explains why EA Sports FC 27 now has an age rating of 16. The real reason for this is because of its inclusion of loot boxes. Previous entries were typically considered suitable for ages three and upwards, but changes to how age ratings work for video games in the UK and Europe mean any games that include loot boxes, such as EA’s football games, must be rated for ages 16 and above. There are reportedly far more pressing issues with EA Sports FC 27 than the occasional stripped down lady. According to this Reddit thread, some are accusing the career mode of being unplayable, citing how any attempt to reorganise the bench is immediately undone and how some team members will demand to be transferred after only two or three matches if they’re not in the starting line-up.
