The move gives bitcoin another shot at holding a level it has repeatedly failed to sustain.That test comes with demand from United States investors still looking uneven. Inflows into U.S.-listed spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds picked up in August but have proven inconsistent, including two days of sizable outflows in the past week. Glassnode said the seven-day average intake for the ETFs reached US$290 million a day during the rally, but trading activity remained subdued compared with previous bull runs.“Inflows driven by discrete policy headlines that lack broader market velocity often coincide with local inflection points,” Glassnode said in a note.A hawkish speech from Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh at the Jackson Hole symposium last week had revived expectations that the central bank may raise rates again if inflation stays elevated. The policy-setting Federal Open Market Committee is scheduled to meet Sept. 15 and 16.Bitcoin also faces a possible price ceiling.
