Birmingham, UAB St Vincent: Lockdown amid shooting, active shooter reports; video shows police at parking lot

There was a huge police presence at the parking lot of the UAB St Vincent Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama on Tuesday amid reports of a shooting. UAB St. Vincent sent out an alert to the community in which they stated that it was an officer involved shooting.“Officer-involved shooting reported outside UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham. Scene secure; avoid the North Tower area and Level A of the parking deck,” the alert read.Local media outlets WBRC6 and WVTM also report that there are a massive police presence and ongoing investigations. They have also not confirmed whether shots were fired.Here's a video shared by local journalist Carol Robinson that showed police cars in the parking lot and the entrance to the hospital closed off. Robinson claimed, citing sources, that shots were fired at the hospital. She did not provide any further details about the incident.This story is being updated.
