One of 2026’s distinct pleasures (for lack of a better word) has been getting to know Billy Evans, Elizabeth Holmes’ life partner and power of attorney holder who becomes the primary focus of “You Can See Everything.” Evans and Holmes have two kids together and are working to launch a new blood testing startup in the vein of Theranos. While Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim’s film begins as a relatively straightforward documentary about Holmes and Evans’ life in San Diego during the last month before she reported to federal prison, it spirals into a larger investigation into Evans’ influence on Holmes and the nature of their partnership. It’s a three-hour movie, but you’re not alone if you left with unanswered questions about the couple. Fortunately, Evans himself is still active as ever on X — both his own account, and the one he runs for Holmes. And on Monday, November 2, Evans spent some time answering questions from fans… everything was on the table other than his caveat that every question “needs to be legally permissible.” He tried to clarify some of the film‘s more confusing moments, including his frequent onscreen sniffing, which he chalked up to allergies. As for rumors that cocaine might be to blame, Evans wrote, “Never been a fan.” Solo parenting 2 toddlers you are sick approx 75% of days. Allergies in Austin TX are no joke.I take Claritin daily. Much less sniffling.— Billy Evans (@per_asp3ra) November 3, 2026 Evans also went into detail about his relationship with Holmes, denying that he has any real control over her but admitting that he’s still romantically crazy about her. He noted that he misses her presence and touch so much that the Theranos founder “should qualify as a medically necessary prescription.” I miss everything about her.I miss her presence. Her touch. The way she runs her fingers through my hair. Her patience. She makes me a better person. And without her, I feel an emptiness that's hard to describe.People often say they need someone when what they really mean is…— Billy Evans (@per_asp3ra) November 3, 2026 Perhaps most importantly, he addressed the burning question of what his cousin’s “thing” was. Early in the film, Evans abruptly cuts off a conversation with Fielder on the beach when the topic turns to his family’s wealth by vaguely stating that he’s late for his cousin’s thing. Evans claimed that it was a marriage proposal, and implied that he ended up getting there in time. She was getting engaged. Married now, has a baby, glad I went. Family over everything— Billy Evans (@per_asp3ra) November 3, 2026 And of course, the shower scene came up. Evans pushed back on the idea that he wanted to do full frontal nudity in the documentary, dismissing that suggestion from a fan as a “false narrative.” He also linked to a PEOPLE story that claims he was “violated” by the scene and wrote “trust the sources.” Evans also did not limit himself to questions about the film. Other AMA questions focused on his cultural tastes, and Evans used the platform to express his love for Chappell Roan, Kendrick Lamar, Charlie Kirk, and Taylor Swift (he said he bought Holmes’ engagement ring at the Reputation tour merch booth). Fielder and Oppenheimer’s film makes it clear that nobody can really see everything in a documentary, but Evans appears committed to proving that you can post everything if you try hard enough.
