Billie Eilish wrapped filming for her first major movie, The Bell Jar, and returned to Instagram after nearly two months away with a mysterious photo dump. Her latest post mirrored a February 2024 photo dump that preceded her HIT ME HARD AND SOFT album announcement by two months, sparking fan theories about a potential new era.Fans speculated a major announcement could be coming soon, with some even theorizing a possible collaboration based on Justin Bieber’s similar sunset post.Could Billie Eilish be gearing up for her next era? The award-winning musician not only wrapped filming for her first major movie, The Bell Jar, but also dropped her first Instagram post in nearly two months, leading fans to believe she has something else up her sleeve. After going off the grid during the movie’s production, Billie gave her 123 million followers a glimpse into her life lately with a photo dump. She showed off her shorter pumpkin spice-hued hair, shared a shot of her dog Shark, and snapped a pic of a vibrant sunset.Billie even included a throwback from her blue-haired days, which her longtime fans got a kick out of. But it didn’t take long for them to investigate and notice some eerily similar vibes to one of her past photo dumps. In February 2024, the “Birds of a Feather” hitmaker dropped not one, but two carousels on the same day. Her followers pointed out that they included pics of Shark, a sunset, and the exact pic of blue-haired Billie she recently shared. That’s not all. The timing of those 2024 photo dumps came nearly two months before she announced her third studio album, HIT ME HARD AND SOFT, on April 8. Naturally, Billie’s fans are already theorizing that a major announcement could be on the horizon.“i was thinking ‘surely there can’t be another album YET’ and then realized hmhas is from 2024 and 2026 is near the end...” one person wrote, while another pointed out that Billie’s longtime friend, Justin Bieber, dropped a similar sunset pic two days prior. “guys at justin’s dump is sunset too , mby collab?” they guessed.Of course, this could all purely be a coincidence. Billie has yet to weigh in on any of the rumors, if at all, but I’m already seated for whatever she has coming next!
