A bike accident in Edappal led to the arrest of a man after a doctor found 21.42 grams of alleged MDMA hidden in his pocket during a medical examination at the hospital.The accused, Sibin, a resident of Chirangantodi House in Amayur, Pattambi, was taken to hospital with injuries after the accident. During treatment, a doctor found a packet containing suspected narcotic drugs in his pocket.Hospital authorities alerted the Perinthalmanna police, who arrived and examined the substance. The police confirmed that it was MDMA and arrested Sibin. A total of 21.42 grams of the drug was seized from him.The discovery has prompted the police to investigate whether the accused was involved in drug trafficking and had links with others in the network.The investigation is continuing to establish the source of the drug and determine whether others were involved in its supply or distribution.
