A BRITISH driver has spoken out about fears their car will burst into flames after over 10,000 in Britain have been hit by a fire risk recall. Subsequently, the Swedish manufacturer recalled the car in February – however, owners of the EX30 SUV report still being stuck with the car. “Volvo has been good to me over the years, but buying the EX30 was the biggest mistake I’ve ever made,” Allan Rhodes told The Telegraph. “I’m approaching 75 and I’ve got this fear of the car bursting into flames. The anxiety it’s causing me is unbelievable.” Rhodes said the motor which retails between £33,000 and £46,000 has been sitting on his driveway ever since. The car maker has been handing out £200 charging vouchers to pay for the high cost of using public chargers given the greater frequency of charging.
