‘Big Brother’ Season 28, Week 9 Eviction: A Reality TV Competition Icon Becomes 2nd Jury Member

As Big Brother Season 28 winds down, the game intensifies, and big moves have to be made to make it to finale night. Host Julie Chen Moonves returned for a new live eviction episode where one more housemate would be voted out of the game and go straight to the Jury House. In Week 9 of the competition, Barrett Pfeiffer was crowned as the Head of Household (HOH) and would not only have immunity for the week, but also put three people up for eviction. At the nominations ceremony, Barrett took a big swing, targeting three icons in the game — housemates who have previously been part of the reality TV competition. Watch on Deadline The three housemates in the block in Week 9 were Angela Murray (Big Brother 26), Dee Valladares (Survivor 45) and Rick Devens (Survivor 38 and Survivor 50). At this point in the game, not all was lost for the trio, as they could still compete in the Power of Veto (POV) competition to take themselves off the block, or plead with a fellow housemate to pull them off. This week, Yash Patel won the POV in the iconic BB Comics competition. To the detriment of the nominated housemates, Yash did not use the POV; therefore, the nominations stayed the same.
