Big Brother fans sickened after phantom menace ‘leaves runny poo on bathroom floor’

There was something of a stinky situation behind the scenes at the Big Brother house (Picture: ITV/Canva) The Big Brother house has endured screaming matches, accusations, Chickengate and more than one cleanliness crisis already this year – but apparently there are still some things too horrifying for television. A mystery housemate reportedly suffered an unfortunate bathroom accident this week, leaving a trail of diarrhea on the floor after failing to reach the toilet in time. And, because sometimes life really does kick you when you’re down, another contestant is said to have stepped in it. The incident reportedly happened on Monday night but was mercifully spared from the ITV2 broadcast, meaning viewers will have to use their imaginations. We strongly advise against doing so. According to The Sun, the unnamed housemate had been feeling unwell when nature called with considerable urgency. Unfortunately, one of the toilets was apparently out of service, forcing them to make a dash for another bathroom – and they didn’t quite win the race. The cast member didn’t quite make it to a functional toilet in time (Picture: ITV) It’s already been a drama filled time in the Big Brother house (Credits: Shutterstock for Big Brother) ‘Last night someone pooed on the floor in one of the toilets,’ a source told the publication. ‘Let’s just say it was a runny one – someone had been poorly and had been trying to get to the loo but one of them is out of service. So they rushed to the other one and didn’t quite make it in time.’ So far, deeply unfortunate. Then came poor Philip. ‘Then Philip stepped in it,’ the source added. There are simply some experiences £100,000 cannot compensate for. Big Brother’s production team reportedly swooped in to deal with the situation and supported the housemate who had become ill, whose identity has not been revealed. And while Big Brother fans will usually riot over anything juicy being left on the cutting room floor, there wasn’t exactly a clamour for the missing footage this time. ‘If it’s to do with someone s***ting on the floor, am kinda glad this one didn’t air 🤢,’ one relieved viewer wrote on X. Another apparently couldn’t resist connecting the incident to the house’s infamous Chickengate, joking: ‘Rochelle’s undercooked chicken gets its revenge.’ ‘This is insane,’ someone else declared, while another summed up the general mood rather efficiently: ‘Ew the idea of that makes me sick.’ Probably one unaired scene we can all learn to live without. Apparently, Phillip ended up stepping in the mess (Picture: ITV) But while viewers were spared the main event, Tuesday’s episode apparently contained a few remnants of the chaos. Rob was heard complaining about ‘hair’ in a toilet, while Rochelle became increasingly distressed over the whereabouts of her beloved Dettol spray. Rochelle reportedly discovered what had happened and was understandably horrified, prompting another complaint about cleanliness inside the house. The source claimed she didn’t unleash her full fury because she recognised the accident wasn’t the poorly housemate’s fault. Which is perhaps fortunate, given the 57-year-old Essex housewife effectively warned producers this exact subject could send her over the edge before she’d even moved in. ‘I’ll get really angry with it being untidy,’ she said before entering the house. ‘If people are untidy, if toilets aren’t clean, things like that. So, I’ll probably be moaning.’ Never has a pre-series interview aged so magnificently. The cast members are already having emotional moments, with Frankie crying in the confession room on a previous episode (Picture: ITV) Of course, an unfortunate bathroom incident is merely the latest addition to a house that has already produced enough conflict to keep Big Brother’s giant eye permanently twitching. Rochelle and Johanne haven’t seen eye-to-eye since the beginning of the series, with their arguments ranging from religion and pets to whether a chicken dinner was properly cooked. Their increasingly volatile relationship took a more serious turn when Johanne said she felt one of their previous confrontations had been ‘micro-aggressive’. Rochelle later overheard Johanne and Pauline discussing their experiences of microaggressions, prompting another explosive confrontation. The scenes eventually became so heated that Big Brother intervened and called Johanne to the Diary Room. The episode subsequently received hundreds of Ofcom complaints, with viewers raising concerns relating to alleged racial comments and bullying. This year’s series has already been branded ‘the most dramatic to date’ – and we’re still nowhere near the final. Although Monday’s incident apparently proved there is a limit to Big Brother’s commitment to showing us absolutely everything. After more than two decades of watching strangers sleep, shower, snog, scream and slowly lose their minds under 24-hour surveillance, viewers may finally have discovered where the producers draw the line. And it is, apparently, runny poo.
