On the latest episode of the ITV2 reality show, a group of the housemates were sitting in a circle having a conversation when talk turned to body sizes. Twinks Burnett, who entered the House on day 20, described Lynx’s physique as ‘thick’, saying that he wouldn’t be sample-sized – comments that she didn’t realise would affect him greatly. Later on, Lynx, 24, and Twinks, 36, were sitting down having a one-on-one conversation when he opened up about how crushed he was feeling, holding his head in his hands. ‘What the f**k, I feel weird,’ he said, as Twinks urged him to share what was on his mind. ‘I feel so strange, because I don’t really speak about none of this. I’m about to cry,’ he said, as he became increasingly emotional and began to cry, repeatedly telling himself to stop. ‘I’ve spoken about having body dysmorphia before,’ he said, which immediately prompted Twinks to look horrified, realising that she’d upset him with her remarks. The NHS explains: ‘Body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), or body dysmorphia, is a mental health condition where a person spends a lot of time worrying about flaws in their appearance. These flaws are often unnoticeable to others. ‘People of any age can have BDD, but it’s most common in teenagers and young adults. It affects both men and women. ‘Having BDD does not mean you’re vain or self-obsessed. It can be very upsetting and have a big impact on your life.’ To read more, click here. ‘I haven’t really spoken about how it’s so intense, it’s so intense,’ he continued. Twinks apologised again, stressing to Lynx that she was here with him as he explained where his feelings stemmed from. ‘I didn’t expect to get so out of shape in here, and then I was just like, I’ll treat it as if I’m bulking to make it make sense in my head because it sort of makes no sense in my head because I’m so strict on what I do,’ he shared. ‘I have all the confidence in the world but it’s just, it’s so weird because, I can’t even explain it.’ Twinks stressed that when she described Lynx as ‘thick’, she meant that he’s very muscular, and he assured her that he knew that she meant no offence. To me you are literally the most beautiful person, the epitome of an Adonis, and body stuff is so real in here, and it affects all of us,’ Twinks told him. ‘You hold yourself to such a different standard, like not even just body-wise. You in yourself as a person, that is so hard to maintain.’ Lynx told her that she didn’t need to apologise, stressing that she ‘didn’t do anything wrong’. ‘It was just, I don’t even know. I just spiralled, I was like, you’ve just been signed, then you’ve come on here which is fine, but then you’ve just got fat,’ he stated. ‘I like things how I like things now. I like to have my clothes a certain way. I like to have my shoes in a straight line. But obviously here I can’t control anything.’ Lynx has received an outpouring of support (Picture: ITV2) After Twinks promised that Lynx is going to be a ‘supernova of a superstar’, he added that he feels that he needs to ‘get back in shape’. ‘Babe, me f**king too! Me f**king too!’ Twinks replied. ‘You like to be in control, you like things to be a certain way. It’s bigger than just self-image. It’s f**king rough.’ After ITV shared the clip on social media, a plethora of people left comments, sympathising with Lynx over his struggle. Some people criticised Twinks for her comments, while others praised her for how she spoke to Lynx after realising the impact that her words had on him. ‘I’m sure Twinks meant no harm but I do hope she uses this as a learning experience. Emphasising on Lynx being ‘Thicc’ and saying he wouldn’t fit into sample clothes, you never know how someone feels about their bodies,’ hopemasonn wrote on Instagram. ‘It’s so important for men to discuss their mental health. 👏,’ shannontfoakley said, while _d_l0uis3 added: ‘This was a special moment. I’m so glad he felt comfortable enough to open up about this. Twinks meant no harm and he knew that. Bless him ❤️.’ ‘Proud of Lynx for not bottling it up – it takes real courage to voice how you feel,’ kayandra.b commented, as tommylangdale13 also wrote: ‘You can’t always comment on people’s bodies. You can’t work everyone out and tell everyone how they feel. Not cool Twinks.’ Deals of the Day See London's Christmas lights from an open-top double-decker bus this winter My skin always suffers when the heating goes on but this serum changed that The skincare formula that finally took the guesswork out of my routine Families can save up to 20% on summer 2027 holidays in Club Med's four-day sale Cold mornings are coming and this is the dressing gown I want to live in Big Brother returns tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
