Bibb County, 2-1 overall, took a 21-20 edge headed into the final period. Corner regained the lead at 28-21 before giving up two late TDs, including a breakaway 44-yard dash by Tamarious Taylor to seal the win inside of 2 minutes left in the contest.After the Yellow Jackets built a 14-0 lead, Cash found Quinton Underwood on a 40-yard scoring strike. The duo would combine for touchdowns twice more – from 24 and 39 yards. We have to go back to the drawing board, but it is a long season.”Corner quarterback Keaton Coffee accounted for 423 yards of total offense in the loss. He ran 23 times for 277 yards and 2 touchdowns. Coffee scored on runs of 67 and 6 yards. He was 10-of-26 for 146 yards through the air, including a 40-yard touchdown strike to Deacon Dyer.Play of the Game: With Corner up 14-7 and driving at the Choctaw 9-yard line, an errant Corner snap was recovered by Bibb County linebacker Whitney Jones to end the threat.Player of the Game: Bibb County running back Taylor ran 11 times for 181 yards and two touchdowns.
