BFA Division One race heats up

Pro Shottas continued their dominance of the BFA’s Division One competition on Wednesday, strengthening their position at the top of the table with a convincing 3-0 victory of Fitts Village. The longtime front runners moved to 46 points from 21 matches and remain in control of the title race while Notre Dame climbed into second on 42 points following a 5-0 thrashing of Barbados Soccer Academy, but they have also played a game less than the table leaders. Parish Land are now down one position in the table to third on 40 points, but have two games in hand on the leaders following an 8-2 win over Deacons. In the evening’s other results, Silver Sands eased to a 3-0 win over Greens, Pinelands defeated Technique 2-0, while Whitehall and Potential Ballers played out a 1-1 draw. (KH)
