The “CUFF IT” singer and “Empire State of Mind” rapper teamed up for their first collab in seven years for a remix of Beyoncé’s “Morning Dew (Donk).” Released Aug. 5, the song takes a few swipes at the power couple’s critics . “If you ain’t riding for the gang, shut the f--k up,” Jay-Z rapped on the track—which samples The Isley Brothers’ iconic song “Between the Sheets”—before Beyoncé echoed, “Shut the f--k up.” Jay-Z continued, "You know you love us / Talkin’ reckless on the set / They only hate us on the ‘net / You n---as tweet a lot / All you do is twit / Pop it on the pods, but you ain’t doing s--t.” And filtering out the noise is easy for Bey, 44, and Jay, 56. After all, the best way to block out the haters is by keeping their love on top. “We just making love / We just gettin’ rich,” he added. “Y’all keep doin’ that / We keep doin’ this.”To close out his pointed verse, the music mogul (born Shawn Carter) repeatedly rapped over a sample of “Mo Bamba” by Sheck Wes, “I caught a f--k n---a hatin’ on my wrist / I caught a hoe n---a hatin’ on my b--ch.” Beyoncé—who shares 14-year-old daughter Blue Ivy as well as 9-year-old twins Rumi and Sir with Jay-Z—surprised fans with the release of “Morning Dew (Donk)” on July 4, marking her first music drop in two years. The sultry track—written by Beyoncé, Pharrell Williams, The-Dream and Darius Dixon—according to Parkwood Entertainment, commences a 60-day countdown to the “Love on Top” hitmaker’s 45th birthday September 4 as well as the reissue of her 2006 album B’DAY. Photo by Francis Specker/CBS via Getty ImagesThe single is “a direct nod to her loyal BeyHive to commemorate the upcoming epic celebration of B'DAY,” the statement said. “The song, which will be included on the 20th Anniversary edition of B'DAY, arrives accompanied by a lyric video that repurposes old footage, directed by frequent collaborator, Cliff Watts.” And while the track’s remix marks Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s first music collaboration in quite some time, they recently teamed up for an unforgettable performance at the “99 Problems” rapper’s July 10 concert in New York City. Indeed, Queen Bey had the Beyhive buzzing as she joined her husband of 18 years during a rendition of “Can’t Knock the Hustle,” which originally featured Mary J.
