With plenty of perks covering stamina, healing, combat, fear, followers, and escaping, figuring out which ones are actually worth equipping can get a little overwhelming. Some perks are useful in almost every match, while others are much more dependent on your build or the situation you find yourself in. We've developed this tier list for you. We’ve ranked the available Perk Cards based on how consistently useful they are during a typical match and how much value they bring when things inevitably go sideways. Perk Cards Tier List The tiers below indicate how useful each perk is during a typical match. A perk's placement considers how consistently its effect comes into play and how valuable that effect is when things inevitably start going sideways. S Tier - exceptional perks that provide major benefits in a wide range of situations. A Tier - very strong perks that are consistently useful but may be slightly more situational. B Tier - solid options that work well with the right playstyle or circumstances. C Tier - niche perks that can help, but generally aren't the first choice. D Tier - situational perks that are difficult to justify over stronger alternatives. S-Tier Perk Cards Perk Why It's Here Unwinded Reducing all stamina use is incredibly valuable because stamina affects so many of your actions when you're trying to escape Michael. Unphased Fear management is crucial, making a general reduction to fear buildup useful throughout an entire match. Slippery Being grabbed by Michael is a nightmare, so making the struggle minigame easier directly improves your chances of getting out alive. Sixth Sense Hearing Michael breathing before a Shape Jump can give you precious information when you're trying to avoid an ambush. Stubborn Moving faster while wounded is extremely useful because getting hurt doesn't necessarily mean the chase is over. Field Triage Faster healing lets you get back into the action sooner and reduces the amount of time spent vulnerable while using healing items. Solid Foundation Increased Poise improves your knockdown strength against Michael, giving melee-focused survivors a valuable defensive tool. Wound Mender Getting more health from healing items makes your limited healing resources substantially more valuable. A-Tier Perk Cards Perk Why It's Here Adrenaline Faster stamina regeneration is fantastic for escaping, although reducing stamina consumption is generally more valuable. Clotting Faster health regeneration provides reliable sustain without requiring you to constantly rely on healing items. Hardened Blunt damage resistance can be valuable when dealing with Michael's attacks. Thick Skin Sharp damage resistance improves survivability against another important source of damage. Brutal Cleave Strong for survivors who rely on heavy melee attacks to fight back. Contender A straightforward melee damage increase with broad usefulness for combat-focused builds. Knockout Keeping Michael down longer creates more breathing room for you and your team. Lethal Pitch Increased thrown-weapon damage gives another useful option for dealing damage from a safer distance. Relentless Steel More melee weapon durability means fewer situations where your weapon becomes useless at the worst possible time. Iron Ankles Fall damage reduction is particularly helpful when escaping through environments with plenty of vertical movement. Panic Contagion The movement boost after helping residents escape rewards players who actively contribute to objectives. Voice Of Reason Reducing Fear for your followers can make this particularly useful for players who frequently use follower-focused strategies. Guardian Shadow Damage reduction for followers makes them more effective and gives value to a follower-heavy playstyle. Exit Strategy Finding escape routes from farther away can be incredibly valuable once you're trying to actually leave the area. Survival Intuition Automatically revealing an escape location provides useful information without requiring you to search for it yourself. B-Tier Perk Cards Perk Why It's Here Bullet Belt Extra ammunition is useful for ranged builds but does little if you're primarily using melee weapons. Breakfall Faster landing recovery can help maintain momentum, particularly on maps with frequent vaulting and drops. Brimstone Fuse Longer firecracker disorientation can be useful for disrupting Michael, but depends heavily on having firecrackers available. Barricade Stronger locked doors can buy time, though their usefulness depends on the situation and map. Repair Expert Conserving repair kits can provide good resource efficiency during longer matches. Scavenger Faster rummaging helps you obtain resources sooner, making it a useful utility perk. Silver Tongue More time for conversation minigames can make perfect scores easier and improve interactions with residents. Smooth Talker A larger perfect zone makes dispatch calls more forgiving. Trespasser Picking locked doors can provide useful shortcuts and access to areas that would otherwise require another route. Witness State Outlining nearby residents makes it easier to locate and coordinate with them. Pied Piper Increasing your follower capacity can be powerful for dedicated follower builds. Shared Desperation Giving weapons to residents becomes more rewarding, but requires you to actively use that mechanic. Fade To Black Faster Stalk degradation while hiding can help counter Michael's stalking game. Elusory Slowing the Stalk progress applied to you makes it harder for Michael to build pressure against you. Ghost Faster Stalk degradation can reduce Michael's accumulated advantage. Dying Breath Increased grab escape chances while at low health are helpful, although ideally you don't want to be in that state. Liquid Courage The melee damage bonus can be strong, but it requires you to be drunk to activate its benefit. Reveler Longer intoxication and status effects can work nicely with builds designed around those effects. C-Tier Perk Cards Perk Why It's Here Deaden Reduced transparency on your noise pings can be useful for stealth, but its value depends heavily on how frequently those pings matter. Grave Footing Reduced chances of tripping while exhausted or terrified can save you from an unfortunate stumble, but doesn't prevent the conditions themselves. Panic Driver Reducing car damage while driving is helpful, but only matters when you're actually behind the wheel. Convincing Plea Reducing incoming cop-wave timers can be useful for players consistently filling the badge, but it's fairly specific. Frantic More police presence can create opportunities, but this effect is considerably more situational than direct survival benefits. Shield Of Law Fear reduction near police officers is useful, but requires you to stay within a specific distance of them. D-Tier Perk Cards Perk Why It's Here Aura Of Awareness Increasing the personal Shape Jump prevention radius is useful in a very specific circumstance, but its value is difficult to rely on consistently. Glass Walker Reducing window-diving damage is helpful but too narrow to compete with broad defensive perks. Voice Of Reason The follower Fear reduction is useful for a very specific strategy and offers little to players who aren't relying on followers. Panic Driver Its usefulness is entirely dependent on driving frequently, making it difficult to justify over universally useful perks. Survival Intuition The automatic escape marker is convenient, but stronger perks can provide benefits throughout the entire match.
