The cases were recorded up to August 22, 2026, according to surveillance data reported through the Integrated Health Information Platform (IHIP). The state recorded 4,583 laboratory-confirmed influenza cases in the whole of 2025 and 3,903 in 2024.BENGALURU ACCOUNTS FOR MORE THAN 3,000 CASESThe Greater Bengaluru Authority area has reported the highest number of laboratory-confirmed influenza cases in Karnataka, with 2,070 cases.It is followed by Bengaluru Urban with 1,011 cases, taking the combined count for the two Bengaluru areas to 3,081 cases.Udupi has the third-highest count in the state, with 300 cases, followed by Mysuru with 187. Dakshina Kannada has reported 87 cases, while Shivamogga has recorded 91. Ballari has 53 cases, Belagavi 47 and Uttara Kannada 42.DISTRICT-WISE FLU CASES IN KARNATAKABesides the districts with the highest numbers, several others have reported smaller clusters of laboratory-confirmed influenza. Mandya has recorded 32 cases, while Bengaluru Rural, Bengaluru South and Haveri have each reported 26. Davanagere has 24 cases, followed by Chitradurga and Chamarajanagar with 20 each.Tumakuru has recorded 18 cases and Chikkamagaluru 17. Kolar has 16 cases, while Dharwad has 14.Bagalkote has reported 12 cases, followed by Koppal with 11 and Gadag and Kodagu with 10 each.Hassan and Vijayanagara have each recorded nine cases.
