Bengaluru lawyer shot dead by tenants after fight over rent

A 42-year-old advocate was shot dead in Bengaluru around midnight, allegedly by two of his tenants following a dispute over non-payment of rent, police said on Monday.The victim has been identified as Manjunath. The incident occurred at his residence. According to the police, both accused work as delivery executives.Preliminary findings suggest that an argument broke out between Manjunath and the two accused about an hour before the shooting over non-payment of rent.The lawyer died after being shot in the head, per the police. The accused subsequently fled the scene. A case has been registered in connection with the matter and an investigation has been initiated.
