Bengaluru CEO supports Bittu Tabahi's cleanup mission, offers to raise funds for him

A Bengaluru-based CEO shared a post on X praising Bittu Tabahi cleanup mission, as well as asked users to help him connect to the 20-year-old so he could raise funds to support his work.Bengaluru CEO supports Bittu Tabahi’s cleanup mission (Photos: @siddharth_iitm, Bittu Tabahi)Bengaluru,Sep 25, 2026 11:49 IST20-year-old Surendra Singh Choudhry, popularly known as Bittu Tabahi, who spent months cleaning a heavily polluted river in Madhya Pradesh, has now brought his cleanup mission to the Delhi-NCR region, and his efforts have caught the attention of a Bengaluru-based CEO.Bittu Tabahi, shot to prominence through his cleanup drives, spending months removing plastic, discarded waste and other rubbish from polluted waterways and public spaces.After cleaning a river in Madhya Pradesh and a forest in Karnataka, Bittu began his latest campaign along the Yamuna on September 20, observed as World Cleanup Day.The three-day #CleanWithBittu drive brought together a group of volunteers who joined him in removing waste from different locations across Delhi-NCR. On the first day of the campaign, Bittu and his volunteers removed 585 kg of waste from the Yamuna riverbank. His team then moved to Gurugram's Khedki Daula, where they removed another 2,435 kg of waste.The final stop of the three-day campaign was announced as Yuva Shakti Ghat in Noida's Sector 94. As Bittu's cleanup efforts continued, Siddharth Dialani, founder and CEO of BharatAgri, took to X to praise his work and offer financial support."I'm personally inspired by Bittu Tabahi. Looking at his work motivates me to do more for cleanliness in India," Dialani wrote, adding that he wanted to contribute financially towards some of Bittu's activities.He also asked people to connect him with Bittu, saying that given the scale at which the young activist was working, he could raise funds from like-minded people to support the initiative."For the scale at which he is working, I can raise funds for him from like-minded people," Dialani wrote.Take a look at his post here:His post also prompted others to express their willingness to contribute to Bittu's work. One person pointed out that Bittu regularly shares his UPI and QR code on Instagram and urged Siddharth to go ahead with the contribution.Another said they were also willing to support the cleanup drives, adding that although they were currently unemployed, contributing to the initiative would be among the first things they planned to do after receiving a salary.Others shared examples from their own neighbourhoods, where residents had combined regular cleaning efforts with installing dustbins and putting up banners and posters. According to one user, such efforts had resulted in visible improvements in cleanliness and civic sense.- Ends
