He confirmed that he had spoken to them on the morning of August 27 and that both were out of danger.“My father’s name is Kharaj Mukherjee and my mother’s name is Pratibha Mukherjee. Both of them had gone to Nepal for a shoot. I have been receiving a lot of calls from their well-wishers and from the media,” Tamaghna said.He explained that his parents had travelled to Pokhara for the shoot, while the area where the tragedy occurred was some distance away from them. However, heavy rain in Pokhara affected their filming schedule and also disrupted their plans to fly back. Kharaj Mukherjee, wife travelling to GorakhpurAccording to Tamaghna, his parents were originally scheduled to return on August 23 after wrapping up their shoot. However, the disruption caused by the weather meant they could not leave as planned.“They were supposed to return on the 23rd after completing the shoot. But because the shoot was disrupted due to heavy rain, they could not return as planned. Their return has been delayed, but they are completely safe,” he said. Tamaghna added that, as far as he knew, the couple were travelling from Pokhara to Gorakhpur. They are expected to spend a night there before taking a flight to Kolkata.“They are expected to reach Kolkata tomorrow morning, on August 28,” he said.Tamaghna said he decided to record the video after being flooded with calls, texts and social media messages from people worried about his parents.“To be honest, I have been receiving a huge number of messages and texts, so I decided to make this video and inform everyone that there is nothing to worry about,” he said.He also promised to share another update if there was any change in the situation.Kharaj Mukherjee's Nepal tripKharaj Mukherjee and his wife had travelled to Nepal on August 20 as part of a production team for a Bangladeshi film, according to PTI.
