A POPULAR mini golf venue that is set to close its doors after just two years leaving fans “gutted”. The business, which first opened in October 2024, said it was deciding to shut “with sadness”. In a statement on Facebook, the mini golf site said: “Wizards and Witches, it is with sadness that we will be saying a fond farewell to the North East and Dalton Park on Sunday, September 6. “We have loved being part of the centre’s offering over the last two years and thank all who visited our magical mini golf, apothecary and Little Wizards’ play area.” The crazy golf attraction was jam packed with wizard, witches and other fantasy decorations. The mini golf course also offered a Little Wizard experience designed for toddlers and young children, featuring a wand shop, wizard kitchen and ball pit. There was also a cafe offering confectionery, potions, and merchandise. Fans of the course were left devastated by the news. Most read in Money One posted: “Completely gutted, love the venue & very proud of the team.” Another wrote: “We’re totally gutted about this. We love popping in now and then!” A third person added: “This was a great place for the kids.
