A BELOVED beauty chain is making a massive comeback to the high street as it prepares to open its second of 17 new stores today. The retailer closed all of its 147 national locations less than a year ago after plunging into administration. Bodycare is opening its second comeback store in the Derbion in Derby today The brand was plunged into administration less than a year ago, shutting all its stores Credit: Alamy Derby is getting a brand new Bodycare today, as the beauty brand opens its latest studio store in the Derbion shopping centre. Inside, customers can enjoy an expanded range of skincare, cosmetics, perfumes and wellness items, alongside a professional piercing and tattoo studio and a trending K-Beauty collection. Sign up for the Money newsletter Thank you! The store is opening under Bodycare’s new “Bodycare Studio” format, offering free access to a Creator Studio dedicated to TikTok creation. Facilities will include a live broadcast studio and a dedicated creator space to inspire local content creators, charities, and community groups. Bodycare chief executive, Charles Denton, said: “By combining retail with live content, creator experiences and expert-led brand events, the format allows customers to discover emerging products, trends and advice in an interactive environment. “Derbion gives us the right space in the right part of the city, and the reception we had in Sheffield told us how much people want Bodycare back in their town.” The Derbion is the second home for Bodycare’s revamped stores, making an official comeback to The Moor shopping centre in Sheffield back in July. In September last year, Bodycare collapsed into administration, shutting its Derbion store alongside over 100 others. Ahead of the upcoming opening today, Beth McDonald, managing director of the Derbion said: “We’re hugely excited to welcome Bodycare back to Derbion with a brand new concept store. “As well as offering exceptional value for customers, the Creator Studio will be a brilliant addition which is sure to prove extremely popular with our local community here in Derby.” Comment now
