The developers decided to pull a Death Stranding and create a sequel... on the beach. A Game About Digging a Hole Together has just been announced, and it's all about digging holes on the beach with your friends. A Game About Digging a Hole was released on PC in February 2025 and on consoles later that same year. Thousands of hole-digging enthusiasts grabbed a shovel and began their journey into the depths of their virtual backyards in search of treasure. Like many indie games, it was short and sweet, and it made fans eager for more. Players will be happy to know that soon they will be able to resume their hole-digging ventures in A Game About Digging a Hole Together. Shochiku Games reveals A Game About Digging a Hole Together As shown in the trailer, A Game About Digging a Hole Together supports up to four-player co-op. Multiplayer support was one of the most requested features in the original, and it seems the developers have heard players' wishes and will oblige. A Game About Digging a Hole Together seems to be set on the beach, where the scorching sun might just prove to be a health hazard. Thankfully, there are water balloons that can be thrown to help players cool down. Players can get them from shop vendors, as this time around, they won't be interacting with a computer to sell and buy items. Besides the standard upgrades to the backpack, jetpack, and shovel, the shop has a lot more to offer, such as various types of perforation and digging tools. Just like its predecessor, A Game About Digging a Hole Together appears to be pretty straightforward. The additional content it brings to the table is welcomed by its fans and will likely be worth the price.
