The Sun can confirm that sitcom actress Caroline Quentin, Gladiators hunk and star of last year’s Strictly Nitro aka Harry Aikines-Ayreety as well as Team GB Olympian Laura Kenny have all signed up to the programme. A source told The Sun: “This year’s line-up is seriously shaping up to be one of the strongest in recent years. “Bosses were delighted to get Laura on board as one of the country’s most celebrated Olympians and she’s also not one of the usual reality TV fodder which makes her appearance even more exciting. Scarlett Moffatt from Gogglebox as well as comedian Seann Walsh will be hoping to cook up a storm on the programme. Reality TV veteran Joey Essex is also among the cast this summer. Most read in TV Yesterday, The Sun also revealed how axed Strictly pro Karen Hauer has bagged a spot on the line-up after being given the boot by BBC bosses on the dancing show. She will also be joined by former Love Island star turned BBC Three personality, Zara McDermott. A source told The Sun: “ITV are thrilled to have snapped up Karen. “She’s hot property now she’s been let go by the BBC, and a lot of people thought Strictly were mad to lose her, so ITV struck while the iron was hot. “The feeling is, the Beeb’s loss is their gain. She is extremely popular with viewers after so many years on the dancefloor, and all the fans will follow her in their droves to this new gig. “Zara is also a perfect signing too. She has a huge built-in fanbase from Love Island, which she only grew further with her stint on Strictly and also all her successful BBC Three documentaries. “She also dates Louis Tomlinson, so he’ll be encouraging all his devoted fans to support her on the show,” the insider added.
