During the night, the Australian singer was left in tears by a tribute from host Johannes Radebe, who said that they were sending her ‘so much love’ as she watched the programme from home. However, it has now been confirmed that Delta will be back in action this week with her partner Kai Widdrington, having been given the all clear by medical professionals. Sharing a picture of the pair smiling in the training room, the caption of the post read: ‘Following her bye last week due to injury, we’re delighted to confirm Delta has been given the all clear to dance again this weekend. ‘She’ll return to the #Strictly ballroom on Saturday night, and Abi Clarke will pop into her rehearsal room for a chat on Training Room Diaries on Wednesday evening.’ The comments on Instagram were immediately filled by people celebrating the update, including fellow competitor Tabby Stoecker, who wrote: ‘Yay!!! So happy you’re feeling better ❤️.’ ‘Great news to hear on a Monday 🔥,’ commented new pro Mark Karmalita, while It Takes Two presenter Ellie Taylor added: ‘Hurrah!!! 🔥.’ Many of Delta’s fans also joined in with the happy comments, including catenpar who said: ‘Ruined my week last Monday with the injury news and now you’ve made my week this week 😭😭😍😍❤️❤️.’ ‘Yes @deltagoodrem! Future 2026 Strictly champion is back on the horse!’ Natasha stated. Last week, it was announced that Delta had reportedly been hospitalised twice due to a rib injury and would not participate in Saturday night’s live show. The 41-year-old later wrote on Instagram: ‘Just wanted to come on here and say a big thank you to everyone who has sent messages and wrote lovely comments the last couple of days, I see them all. Sadly, Delta has suffered an injury and on the advice of the medical team will not be dancing this week under the rules of Strictly she receives a bye through to next week,’ she said. Johannes then added: ‘Delta my darling I know you’ll be watching so I just want to say we are all sending you so much love.’ Kai and Delta will be back in action on Saturday night (Picture: Guy Levy/BBC/PA Wire) In response, Delta said in a video filmed at home: ‘I love you too. Thanks team. It’s been a rough week. Love you guys!’ Ahead of the show, she’d written on social media: ‘Hello everybody! I just wanted to say hello before Strictly starts, I’ve got my little seat ready and I’ve been recovering. ‘I promise I’ll share more over the next couple of days, it takes a while to get into a positive mindset when you have a setback and you just need to be able to process it and work out what the body is saying and how we continue to move through this but in the meantime I’m very excited to see the amazing talented class of 2026. I’m so exited to watch them do their iconic performances tonight.’ Strictly Come Dancing returns this Saturday evening on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
