BBC comedy star rushed to A&E again after Lime bike crash and brain injury

BBC comedian Luisa Omielan was rushed back to A&E after previously being hospitalised with a brain injury following a Lime bike crash. The stand-up comic, 43, headed to A&E three times in June after accidentally riding an electric bike into a brick wall and breaking her nose. The Edinburgh Fringe star was diagnosed with a minor brain injury, Post Concussion Syndrome and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Omielan has now revealed she was in hospital once again this week after hitting her head and suffering another concussion.“Hey gang. I managed to hit my head again today and give myself another concussion,” the What Would Beyoncé Do?! star captioned a selfie of her wincing on Instagram on Thursday.“Shout out to the nail tech who only charged me 50% for a last min booking when I was in A&E rather than the full 100. Also it’s my birthday on Monday so if anyone was thinking what to get, a helmet would be wonderful.”Omelian, who adapted her Edinburgh Fringe show Politics for B*****s for the BBC, revealed her Lime bike accident in June.Sharing a photo of herself covered in blood outside A&E, she wrote: “Today has been a rough day, I was doing too much and had an accident. No more lime bikes for me. Have broken my nose and my self esteem. Thankful, it could have been a lot worse. But apparently its gonna look worse before it gets better.”The comedian later explained that she was halting all her comedy gigs to focus on recovering after suffering a brain injury.“Everything is going to be fine, but I have had a minor brain injury and have been diagnosed with post-concussion syndrome and PTSD,” she revealed in a video with her Bernese Mountain dog Bernie.“One of the trickiest things is keeping going when life knocks you sideways.
