On Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Cahoon Park the community is welcomed to join in for this run and walk honoring Amy Mihaljevic. Amy Mihaljevic was ten years old the last time she was seen on October 27, 1989. After leaving Bay Village Middle School around 2:10 pm, Amy Mihaljevic was kidnapped from the Bay Square Shopping Center parking lot in Bay Village. Her disappearance has left a hole in the close knit community where she grew up. A hole that has remained for more than 30 years, and brought child-safety awareness and community vigilance into the foreground of Bay Village. The Amy Mihaljevic Run is a free community event that brings people together to honor Amy’s memory and keep her story alive. Held each year in Bay Village, it includes a 5K run, walk, and family‑friendly activities for all ages. More than just a race, the event raises awareness and supports the ongoing investigation through the Amy Fund, helping cover critical costs like DNA testing. By participating, donating, or sharing, you help keep Amy’s story visible and continue the fight for justice—bringing us one step closer to answers. For more information visit www.amymihaljevic.org or visit www.runsignup.com/Race/OH/BayVillage/AmyMihaljevic to enter the free event.
