Bay City Rollers guitarist Neil Henderson dead aged 73 as fans pay tribute

However, he left shortly before Rollermania propelled them to worldwide fame and went on to join Scottish band Middle Of The Road. Neil's ex-bandmates revealed the guitarist had been ill 'for some time' after suffering a stroke a few years ago.They announced his passing in a Facebook post on Thursday as they paid tribute to their 'friend'.A statement read: 'We are sorry to have to announce the death of Neil Henderson, our original lead guitarist, songwriter and friend.
