A massive (and expensive) board game like this would understandably put people off, even if it is directly related to one of their favorite shows. However, I highly recommend giving Enemies of Gotham City a try, as it is truly the board game Batman: The Animated Series deserves and a phenomenal love letter to everything that made that show so beloved and wonderful in the first place. Everything, from the implementation of each villain's unique traits and abilities to the component design and art, is as faithful to the original experience as one can be. Enemies of Gotham City, as aforementioned, doesn't play it safe or easy, choosing, instead, to deliver a playable and immersive version of one of the greatest interpretations of Gotham ever created. This is as respectful a project as one would expect and hope for, and it's equally enjoyable too.
