Though each game did come with a few weaknesses, the brutal combat, impressive story and scarcely believable visuals (at the time) all combined into superhero games that plenty have tried to replicate since. The developer is reportedly working on a new, single-player Batman action game, and if it's anything like as good as the work they were able to put out before, then we should be on to a winner. While we wait, there is another release tied to the Arkham franchise on the way soon, and it could be the first of many if fan demand makes it commercially viable. As first reported by ComicBook, LEGO has just revealed their take on the Batmobile from Batman: Arkham Knight, in a release that's primarily aimed at younger builders (how dare they). In sharing a little bit about the release, LEGO released the following description for the item ahead of its arrival: "Blast into intense pursuits with this collectible LEGO® DC Arkham Batman™ Batmobile™ building set for kids ages 9 and up and put the armored car in park to display during breaks from the fast-paced fun. Complete the immersive, challenging build, then place the Batman minifigure in the cockpit and go wherever your mission takes you, even tackling rough terrain with the car’s functional suspension." The set clocks in at a relatively diminutive 317 pieces, and with a decent low price of $29.99, with the release date currently set at January 1, 2027. This version of the Batmobile also comes with a minifigure of Batman based on his look in the game, and that could easily become one of the more sought after minifigs if the set isn't circulated as widely. It seems as though the company is on a bit of a Batmobile kick right now, and there are all sorts of sets from all sorts of adaptations on the way. LEGO also revealed today that it would be releasing another version from the film Batman Returns (also on January 1), with this serving as a smaller 672 piece version of the car they released earlier this year. It's unclear right now why they have suddenly decided to go for an Arkham release after all these years, but it's likely just part of their wider efforts to expand the Batman range further. As for Rocksteady Studios, they'll be looking for a major reset after the disappointments of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. If the Batman rumors are true, that could be just the kind of project they need to get things back on the right course, particularly given their track record with the IP so far.
