Batman & Robin Get Epic Sci-Fi Redesigns In New Superman Team-Up

DC reveals Batman and Robin's new costumes for their debut in Superman's utopia. Usually, Batman's Batsuits balance heavy ballistic protection and maximum athletic flexibility. Captain Atom, and the WildCATS receive the same access to this technology as Superman, but also that heroes like Batman are able to fight crime with better gadgets than usual. In Father of Tomorrow #4, Batman and Robin make their debut sporting sleek black-and-red costumes with additional armor and full masks that make them immune to Scarecrow's fear toxin gas. The Justice League doesn't exist yet in this continuity, but a team-up between Jor-El and Bruce Wayne should be enough to defeat enemies as powerful as Scarecrow and General Lane's WildCATS forces. Lois' father, General Lane, considers Jor-El's technology potential weapons of mass destruction, so he becomes Captain Atom and fights Superman until he draws blood. In this timeline, General Lane fills the role of Lex Luthor, while Lex becomes a hero-murdering sorcerer who ditches his wealth and high-tech resources in favor of mystical knowledge. Meanwhile, Batman seems to have understood the true potential of Jor-El's gifts. In DC's main continuity, Batman has often reverse-engineered and upgraded the signature technology of both allies and enemies. He significantly improved upon Mister Freeze’s cryogenic technology to develop specialized freeze-grenades and armor cooling systems, modified the design of Lex Luthor’s heavily-armored warsuit to create his own Justice Buster and Hellbat armors, and upgraded Cyborg’s Mother Box interfaces to establish secure tactical networks.
