The shop is set to rival budget fashion icon, Primark, with its low cost clothing ranges for women, men, children and babies. Shoppers will also be able to order Lefties clothes online, something that Primark currently doesn’t offer. The 50,000 square foot megastore will span two floors and boasts speedy self-checkouts as well as robotic hanger sorters, a footwear section and homeware offerings. The new branch has taken over two empty units in the shopping hub, where Sports Direct and Superdry previously sat. A branch in Lakeside, Essex will arrive in October and the Metrocentre in Gateshead will welcome Lefties in November. Brendan Hattam, centre director at Liverpool ONE, predicts that Lefties will be “incredibly popular” among shoppers. “It speaks volumes that Lefties, part of the Inditex group, has chosen Liverpool ONE as its first site in the UK – our stand-out retail, leisure and hospitality offering located in the heart of the city is a major pull for leading international brands,” he said. “We know Lefties will prove incredibly popular with guests thanks to its accessible, contemporary, trend-led collections and we can’t wait for the store to open its doors.” Comment now
