Barbados make it three straight

Barbados recorded a third consecutive win as the Cricket West Indies Rising Stars Under-19 Competition continued in Antigua on Wednesday. Playing in a fourth-round encounter at the Liberta Sports Club, they defeated Jamaica by six runs. After being sent into bat, the Barbadian team was restricted to 102 for eight, as Zaniyah Bruce top-scored with 30 from 35 balls, while the next-best score was 10 from Jamis Morris-Alleyne. For Jamaica, Davehjah Brown took three for 10 and Brianna Plummer two for 20. In their turn at the wicket, Jamaica also found batting difficult, as they could only manage 96 for nine in reply. Adanya Baugh top-scored with 14, while Barbados also contributed 25 extras. There was a wicket apiece for Theanny Herbert-Mayers, Zaniyah Bruce, Zoe McCallister, Juniyah Sealy and Dicyrah Collymore.
