14/20Updated October 26, 2026,first published November 11, 2024Big-hearted hospitality and polished cooking from an ex-Firedoor chef.Italian restaurants are beloved not just for the food and drinks, but for their warmth and old-fashioned hospitality, here delivered with contemporary polish by a young but experienced team. Little wonder Bar Infinita keeps diners returning. Sit at the bar or tables inside or out, and admire a steady stream of pizzas from the wood-fired oven. Begin with a generously portioned snack: crunchy arancini oozing cheese or a juicy, rich wagyu-beef croquette. Squid ink tagliolini is bathed in fresh, saucy tomato with generous chunks of blue swimmer crab while beautifully pink wood-fired lamb rump cap arrives with fioretto and textbook jus. There’s good value on the mostly Italian by-the-glass list, and sound advice to go with it. Take it, then finish with Nonna’s tiramisu, served family-style from a big bowl – not quite infinite, but we can dream.Good to know: Bring your own bottle on Wednesdays for $25 corkage.Good Food reviews are booked anonymously and paid independently.
