Banque Misr says UAE branches operating normally

Banque Misr confirmed in a statement on Sunday that all its branches in the United Arab Emirates are operating as usual. The statement indicated that the bank is following up on the proposal issued by the US Treasury Department regarding a regulatory rule that would impose a special measure concerning Banque Misr’s branches in the UAE, and is coordinating and cooperating with the Central Bank of the UAE and the Central Bank of Egypt. Banque Misr affirmed its full commitment to its branches operating in the United Arab Emirates and to fully protecting the rights and interests of its customers.
