Bank employee found hanging in room, family blames harassment by husband

A 28-year-old Axis Bank employee was found dead under suspicious circumstances at her apartment in Galaxy Towers in Telangana’s Medchal-Malkajgiri district on Sunday, with her relatives alleging harassment by her husband.The deceased was identified as Mounika Santhoshi, a native of Andhra Pradesh’s Srikakulam district. She was working with Axis Bank, according to reports.WOMAN FOUND HANGING INSIDE APARTMENTAccording to preliminary information, Mounika was found hanging inside her flat in Pocharam IT Corridor. A domestic worker reportedly noticed the situation and alerted the police.Police from the Pocharam IT Corridor reached the spot after receiving information and collected preliminary details. The body was later shifted to the Gandhi Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem examination. RELATIVES ALLEGE HARASSMENTMounika had married Ramakanth, a native of Visakhapatnam, in a love marriage. The couple has twin children. Ramakanth works in the IT sector.Following Mounika’s death, her family members and relatives alleged that she had faced harassment from her husband and claimed that it may have contributed to her death. However, police have not yet established the circumstances that led to the incident.
