Baldur's Gate 3 Mod Restores Early Access Dream Visitor Daisy

Baldur's Gate 3 Fans Have Restored Cut Early Access Dream Visitor Cutscenes Published Jul 23, 2026, 1:41 PM EDT Joshua Robertson is an editor for TheGamer, having working in news, guides, features, and reviews since 2022. Baldur’s Gate 3 is a pretty massive game, with hundreds of quests and even more random events that can happen at any given time. With that in mind, it’s easy to believe that the game’s early access period must have brought over everything it could for the game to be so massive at launch, but that wasn’t actually the case. There were plenty of things that happened during Early Access that never made it to the main game, one of which was Daisy. For those that don’t know, Daisy was a name created by the game’s community for the original Dream Visitor, who was subsequently cut from the game and replaced by The Guardian in the main titles. Daisy’s whole deal was that she would be a dreamlike manifestation of the tadpole floating around in your brain, and she would attempt to make you fall in love with her and keep you in an imaginary happy life down by the river while your real life body would undergo horrifying changes. It’s an interesting plot line that was scrapped, and remnants of Daisy are still in Baldur’s Gate 3 in various ways. In fact, Daisy was so popular among Baldur's Gate 3 players that checked it out in Early Access that some vastly prefer her to The Guardian, and want to see her return. While Larian has moved onto bigger and better things, modders have once again stepped up. Daisy, The Original Dream Visitor, Has Been Restored In Baldur’s Gate 3 Uploaded to Nexus Mods by a user called Hyperspace Towel, a new mod has just been released which completely restores Daisy in all her glory. A total of four Daisy dream sequences are added by downloading this mod, replacing the two scenes with The Guardian in Act 1, as well as companions reacting to the events after Daisy’s arrival. You’ll also be given access to Illithid powers that were present during Early Access too, so it’s definitely a good excuse for a fresh playthrough. In fact, this mod is best experienced in a new game, so if you want to try it out, create a new character and give it a whirl. You’ll get to experience a story that some players still wish was in Baldur’s Gate 3, and if Larian is actually the cool studio like we think it is, it’s possible that we might see the mod made official and come to consoles in the near future. It’s been a massive request for a long time, but we’ll have to wait and see whether console players will be able to join in on the fun too.
