Dale Martin, 21, was murdered on Stenson Road in Derby on June 15, 2025 after being dragged from his car and stabbed by a group armed with swords, machetes and Rambo knives. CCTV captured the gang surrounding Dale after they hunted him down following a ‘tit for tat’ row between rival groups. The group shouted ‘kill him, kill him’ before carrying out the ‘brutal, sustained, and planned attack’ and leaving him to die. Yesterday, six men, all from Derby, were convicted of killing Dale following a four-month trial at Loughborough Crown Court. The group ambushed Dale Martin (Picture: SWNS) Jayden Mannion-Roberts, 26, was found guilty of murder. Keenan Hamblett, 27, Ki Grant-Finlayson, 23, Kayin Holmes, 25, Kelci Thompson, 19, and Shaylon McCalla, 27, were all convicted of manslaughter. A not guilty verdict was returned for Carlus Grant-Finlayson, 18, of Derby, who was previously charged with murder. The court was told the attack followed a history of animosity between two rival groups. Dale was travelling in a Renault Megane when the group formed a barricade with their electric bikes. They then chopped at Dale’s head, chest and back when he fell to the ground as he tried to escape. CCTV showed the group travelling on their bikes moments before and fleeing the scene after that attack. Body-cam footage also captured two of the group being arrested in their underwear at home and two others at London Gatwick Airport. Further images released by police show how officers found blood splattered on the Renault following the attack. Detective Sergeant Chris Wright, of Derbyshire Police, said: ‘Dale Martin lost his life in a brutal, sustained, and planned attack. ‘They set out that night, armed with knives and with the intent to kill Dale – with those words “kill him, kill him” shouted at the scene of the murder. ‘His family now know who is responsible for his death and, while nothing will take away the trauma of losing a son, brother, and friend in such a way, they will now see those responsible face the consequences of their actions.’ The group will be sentenced at the same court on October 1.
