Backrooms is based on the popular creepypasta of the same name. Parsons created his own version as a web series on YouTube in 2022. The first episode has over 90 million views on the video-sharing platform. From 2022 to early 2025, Parsons released 24 episodes. He then followed that up with this year's hit horror film Backrooms.
