Male cub Momo, Tibetan for 'dumpling', and female Nima, meaning 'sun', received their second round of vaccinations and are now becoming more 'adventurous', their keepers reported.They were born to Zaya, three, and Warjun, four, in May, becoming the first snow leopard cubs to arrive at Marwell Zoo in 13 years.Snow leopards are classified as 'vulnerable' on the International Union for Conservation of Nature's Red List, meaning they are at high risk of extinction. Only 3,000 are thought to be left in the wild as roads, development, farming pressures and climate change continue to threaten their natural habitats.Snow leopards live in small, scattered populations across vast and remote rocky mountains of Central and South Asia.Senior carnivore keeper at the zoo Ashleigh Ball said: 'The cubs have had a second round of vaccinations to protect them from diseases and a 13-week general health check-up which they passed with flying colours.
