Inside the property, police found a Greek man, 43, his German wife, 38, and their two sons, aged 12 and nine. They also discovered a 15-year-old girl and a 26-year-old Afghan man, who said he was the girl’s partner. The girl and the German woman were both pregnant, police said. Cops took the Greek dad, the teenage girl and the Afghan man to a police station after officers found small quantities of drugs in their possession. When police returned to the property to conduct further searches, the German woman and the two boys were getting ready to leave, with their luggage already packed. During a search of the suitcases, officers found the body of a dead baby inside a container. Most read in The Sun The baby had marks on its back, believed to be inflicted by a criminal act, Greek outlet Protothema reports. Confronted about the shocking find, the woman reportedly told officers the baby was hers and kept the body in the freezer. But the woman gave conflicting accounts about when the death occurred. At first she claimed the baby had died two years earlier, but then later said it was eight months ago. The family had “strange” relationships with one another, the manager of the apartment told the outlet. He added that cops also discovered sex toys and a camera connected to a computer inside the property. Sources told Protothema that the nine-year-old boy and 15-year-old girl were suffering from sexually transmitted diseases. The 12-year-old boy is reportedly in hospital undergoing tests to determine his health. The family had reportedly stayed at the Airbnb for around a month after making a reservation for two people. But the manager said: “Then a 9-year-old child came out of a room who did not look like the others at all. “There was no sequence to the relationships between them, it didn’t make any sense.” All members of the family are being held at a police station in Athens. Another property, where the older couple had reportedly been living for two years, was also raided by cops. Police are probing whether the baby was transferred from the house to the apartment. The married couple and their daughter are expected to be charged with failure to report the discovery of a dead person. The 43-year-old man and the Afghan man are also expected to be charged with drug possession. A coroner’s report is expected to shed light on who the baby’s parents are. 1 comment1
