B&M confirms exact date TWO ‘flagship’ stores will close this month in blow to shoppers

B&M has confirmed the exact closure dates for two popular stores. These closures come alongside an overhaul to the bargain retailer’s business operations. The company is shutting its store in Hall Street and reopening one week later in a former B&Q unit on Glanyrafon Road. The new site is one of the largest retail spaces in town and is a substantial upgrade in size. B&M has set out its aim to deliver a “bigger and better B&M experience'” for shoppers. The Sunderland outlet at Riverside Retail Park is temporarily closing for refurbishment from Sunday, August 16 and reopening on Saturday, August 22. Although the branch remains open whilst most of the expansion work takes place, it does need to close for five trading days so that the final phase can be completed. The temporary closure is part of a larger business drive following recent upgrades of B&M branches in Pentwyn, Stockport and Leicester. The company has also revealed plans for a new mega-store inside a former Debenhams unit in Stirling, which is expected to open before the end of the year. Comment now
