And after holing up in Morocco at the height of the crisis, Sky News tracked him down in the Dominican Republic. Reporter James Matthews shook hands with Infantino before introducing himself. But straight away, Infantino tried to make a swift exit, saying “thank you” and starting to walk to his waiting car. Then, smiling, he said: “You have a nice haircut, you have a nice haircut,” a clear reference to them both being bald. A perfect example of Infantino’s ignorance & arrogance, as if nothing has happened.” Another wrote: “What an absolute t**t. Totally out of touch with what people think of him.” A third added: “Despicable behaviour from this guy. No accountability whatsoever.” And a final user commented: “What a clown.” Fifa sacked their chief operating officer Kevin Lamour after he publicly spoke out and criticised Infantino’s “one-man” plan. A damning open letter from Uefa, Concacaf and the AFC saw Infantino accused of “breaking trust through deception”. LaLiga chief Javier Tebas, meanwhile, insisted the Infantino era is “over” and he is “destroying the very essence of football”. But as well as the scandalous attempt to privatise the World Cup, it has also been revealed in bombshell documents that Infantino was actually plotting to partner with the rebel breakaway European Super League – and it could even have been called the Fifa Super League. Also, The Telegraph reported that Uefa paid off a six-figure sum to an alleged mistress of married Infantino while he was general secretary. Comment now
