Awarapan 2 box office Day 9: Emraan film jumps 43.5%, nears Rs 200 crore milestone

For a film universe that once lived largely on its music and the memories of its audience, Awarapan 2 has found an unlikely second life at the box office having neared the Rs 200-crore gross mark globally. The Emraan Hashmi-starrer, which arrived with the weight of nostalgia rather than the certainty of a franchise blockbuster, has turned that familiarity into a strong theatrical run.According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Awarapan 2 recorded a 43.5 per cent jump in its India nett collection on Day 9 compared with Day 8. The film earned Rs 8.25 crore nett from 10,008 shows, taking its total India nett collection to Rs 127.50 crore. Its India gross collection currently stands at Rs 152.11 crore.The film also continued its run in overseas markets, where it collected Rs 1.50 crore gross on Day 9.
