With the franchise drawing from every corner of its canon, characters who have never appeared in the original animated series are becoming just as popular as the Gaang. Among the most beloved is Rangi, Kyoshi's fiercely loyal companion, firebending teacher, and eventual partner, who is now stepping back into the spotlight as The Loyal Flame. The latest Avatar Legends: Realms Collide update brings another major character from the franchise's expanded universe into the strategy game, introducing Rangi, The Loyal Flame, as a new Legendary Hero. Arriving alongside Kelsang, Rangi is designed around rapid Rage generation and aggressive firepower, fitting the formidable Fire Nation warrior from F.C. Yee's Kyoshi novels. Rangi's abilities include: Fireball – Rage Skill: Deals 3,200 base damage to an enemy squad and reduces its DEF by 15% for three seconds. Blazing High Kick – Passive: Gives Rangi 100 Rage at the beginning of battle, while using her Rage Skill generates another 150 Rage, helping her cycle through attacks quickly. Frontal Assault – Passive: Increases her squad’s ATK by 25% and HP by 10%. White Flame – Passive: Raises Rangi’s maximum Bender capacity by 10% and gives her squad 10% total damage reduction. Tiger's Gaze – Awakening Skill: Deals a massive 4,500 base damage while reducing the targeted squad’s DEF and HP by 20% for three seconds. Rangi is also the featured Hero for a new Wheel of Fate event, available on servers that have been open for at least 546 days. Wheel of Fate is one of Realms Collide's recurring Hero-focused events, with previous versions allowing players to obtain rewards including featured Hero Spirit Shards through spins. The update additionally launches another Dear Fellow Lotus event from September 17 through September 23, 2026. Players can earn Tiles for the Grand Lotus Shop and exchange them for various rewards, with the shop remaining available for one week. The event is themed around a gathering of the ancient Order of the White Lotus. Although this update is relatively focused, the developers are already teasing something larger, confirming that another major Avatar: Realms Collide update is scheduled for September 30.
