'What should have been a beautiful trip has turned into something none of us could ever have imagined,' the fundraiser reads. 'We are now doing everything we possibly can to arrange the care and transport needed to bring Amy home safely to Australia.'For Amy, her family and everyone who loves her, the only priority right now is making sure she receives the care she needs and gets home safely. 'The financial cost of the emergency evacuation, hospital treatment, ongoing medical care and getting her home is becoming overwhelming.'Ms Donohue was in Bali for the friend's wedding, with one person writing on her Instagram that the celebrations were 'a week-long bender'.In a haunting twist, it is understood that a friend of Ms Donohue was involved in a minor scooter accident in Bali earlier this month. Social media posts also show her to be an active traveller as well as a devoted aunt with multiple nieces and nephews. Friends had commented about how excited they were for the upcoming Bali trip on Ms Donohue's most recent Instagram post. The GoFundMe has so far raised a little over $6,000 of the $12,000 goal as Ms Donohue recovers in hospital. 'Her medical bills have already reached over $30,000 and are continuing to rise, and we are now doing everything we possibly can to arrange the care and transport needed to bring Amy home safely to Australia,' it reads.'Every single donation, no matter how big or small, will go towards Amy’s medical expenses, evacuation costs, ongoing care and getting her safely home.
