Attack on Iranian vessel kills one, wounds three

One persons was killed and three others wounded when an Iranian commercial vessel was struck near Hengam Island and the Shib Deraz coast of Qeshm Island, Iranian broadcaster IRIB reported, citing Qeshm Governor Hossein Amir Teymouri. Several explosions were reported overnight around Qeshm, the largest island in the Hormuz strait. The attack comes a day before a meeting between Iran and Gulf states in Oman, which also borders the strait, over the blockaded route crucial for global oil and gas trade.
