Idaho Falls city spokesperson Josh Palmer told NBC News that at least three people had lost their lives and that two others were injured. He could not confirm whether the shooter was among the deceased. Bullets began ringing out at around 3pm local time, with shocking footage showing dozens of people fleeing for their lives. The suspect drove up to the chain’s drive-thru before exiting a white vehicle and retrieving a rifle from his trunk. He was seen walking through the car park before shooting through a Tesla’s windscreen. Twin Falls police confirmed they are responding to an active shooter situation near the In-N-Out.
