At least 75 killed and hundreds missing after flash floods in Nepal and China

UDIN DHUNGA, Nepal (AP) — Flash floods in a border area of Nepal and China have killed at least 75 people and left hundreds missing. On Wednesday, officials in Nepal reported 403 people missing, including 341 foreign nationals. Many were said to be on a pilgrimage to Mount Kailash in China’s autonomous region of Tibet. China’s state broadcaster said a mudslide in Tibet killed at least three people and left 265 missing. The floods have destroyed villages, roads, and hydropower projects. Nepal said it has asked India and China to help with rescue efforts.
