ASX settles legal case over bungled Chess project

The Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) is to pay a $20.5 million penalty to settle a legal case brought by the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (Asic), which alleged that the stock market operator deliberately misled the market about the progress of its post-trade Chess replacement project.
