Generating around $15billion (£11billion) in global retail sales since its launch and now in its 13th season, Chapman is believed to be making millions each year in royalties. Speaking on inventRight TV, he said his projects have earned him a lucrative salary over the years from broadcast fees, global merchandise, and film adaptations. Despite selling the creative rights of one noughties hit – Bob the Builder – in 1996, it is estimated that Chapman continued to earn more than £4million from royalties alone. He said: “If you do get a breakout hit, those royalties can keep you in a very good life. “That’s how I managed to live here in Monaco, that’s based on the Paw Patrol income.” The British creator now resides along the French Riviera, with an estimated net worth of more than £100million.
