But thunderstorms and extreme rain have meant that the game was been provisionally pushed back. And to make matters even worse for the evening’s footballing prospects, the temperature is still being recorded at around 30 degrees. It is safe to say Villa fans were not best pleased by the lack of notice, with the decision coming down just minutes before the match was set to start. The team had still not released a line-up for the fixture at that point, with fans waiting intently to find out if they would get to see Madjo in action. The club signed the London-born star – who has played internationally for Luxembourg – from French outfit Metz in January. But they were told they would not be able to register the 17-year-old, as his experience with the national team made him an international transfer, and therefore only eligible to join the side once he turned 18. Villa escalated the case all the way up to the Court of Arbitration for sport. And finally, on Tuesday they revealed that he had finally been cleared to be registered, ending a seven-month-long saga. Unfortunately, fans would have to wait a bit longer, with the 6ft 4in prodigy named on the bench to begin with. Comment now
